What is a Madras Middle School Eagle Ambassador?
An Eagle Ambassador at Madras Middle School is a 7th or 8th grade student who will represent our school positively and help build community within our school.
By exhibiting leadership skills, student ambassadors will provide new students with an introduction to Madras by giving them a tour of the school, helping them with their locker, introducing them to their teachers, and providing them with a familiar face on their grade level. They will also assist with school-wide programs, some morning announcements, and posters around the school promoting kindness and inclusion.

Eagle Ambassadors are nominated by faculty/staff members because of their outstanding leadership abilities and their continual

Student Ambassador Service Time:
Students will serve for one school year.

The Selection Process
Eagle Ambassadors are nominated by faculty/staff members because of their outstanding leadership abilities and their continual
representation of Madras Middle School's Eagle PRIDE:
- Teacher recommendation
- Good citizenship (at school and away from school)
- Good grades and attendance
- Proper behavior and moral character
- Positive attitude
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Confident and an outgoing personality
- Effective communication skills
Student Ambassador Responsibilities
- Attend all Student Ambassador Meetings.
- Conduct tours of the school and explain various school programs.
- Demonstrate leadership and become a role model for other students.
- Participate in fundraising and service projects (i.e. recycling and giving tree).
- Participate in the orientation of new students to Madras Middle School.
- Maintain a B+(85 or better average in all classes. If grades drop, then the student will be asked to meet with the counseling staff to determine a probationary period of nine weeks in order to improve grades.
- If there is an extreme behavioral situation, the counseling staff will determine if removal from the Ambassador Program is necessary.
Student Ambassador Service Time:
Students will serve for one school year.
